The MTTA finds and rents facilities, provides equipment, and provides and pays for a coordinator or coach as the situation dictates. Also, through mail-outs, rental/sale of balls and resource materials, periodic visits by our coaches, phone & mail referrals, we also support numerous other clubs in Winnipeg and other areas where recreational table tennis activity takes place on an ongoing, regular basis.

Outside of Winnipeg, there are numerous schools, community clubs and ethnic clubs where table tennis is played. However, equipment is often poor and coaching and resource materials are seriously lacking. As a result, the M.T.T.A. assist these clubs by providing resources and equipment. We may also perform introductory type exhibitions and clinics in order to jump-start ongoing activities.

Our involvement in setting up and assisting to set up these recreational clubs for athletes of all ages is crucial, because once exposed to our sport through our Marketing & Grass Roots initiatives, these interested persons must have somewhere to play.
