The magic of Table Tennis is that you only need four things to play; a table, a racquet and an opponent. The equipment is reasonable cheap, compared to many sports. Tables can be purchased from many game-room stores, or stores that sell any sport equipment. Rackets are also cheap at any of these same stores.

If you are an avid table tennis player, the equipment, like in every sport, can become more expensive. Racquets range in price from around $5.00 all the way to $100.00

The table tennis racket is more complicated then most people believe. It is comprised of two things:

  blade: the wood part of the racket and;
rubber: The red and black parts of the racket, which are used to hit the ball.

Different rubbers and blade have different speed, control and spin. You can purchase "pre-made" racket (with the rubber already on) or purchase the components of the racket separately to match your style of play.
